The Mountain Town Music Festival is happening this weekend in Keystone. Keystone rescheduled the July 31st event to this Saturday, August 28th. Enjoy live concerts complemented by performing artists and an outdoor bar in River Run Village.

Wednesday, August 25th – Bike in Movie Night!
Happy Feet | Breckenridge | 6pm
Enjoy outdoor screenings of classic movies “geared” for those on the go. Hike, bike or bus to these free family events. Set beneath a spectacular view of the 10-Mile Range, films are shown on the AirStage’s 5×8 foot LED wall and are preceded by creative projects and maintenance activities for bike enthusiasts.
This is the last bike-in-movie of the summer! This event is presented by Breck Create in partnership with Breck Film.
In celebration of festival volunteers, please join us for a free and open to all public screening of a select few festival films. This two-hour event will feature some of the staff's favorite films slated for the 40th Anniversary Festival this September 16-19.
Warren Station and Comedy Works (DENVER) have partnered to bring comedy back to the high country this summer!
Laugh it up to some of the top comics in Colorado right in the backyard of Keystone Resort. Comedy Night’s opener, Zach Maas will warm up the crowd for headliner, B.T. What better way is there to spend your Friday night than relaxing with a few beverages and hilarious entertainment?

Wild Fire follows the lives of 8 people in Grand County over the course of one momentous week as they face the threat of an unprecedented wildfire. Featuring a folk score written by Colorado musicians, crafted by a Colorado playwright, and inspired by real testimony from more than 30 oral history interviews, Wild Fire honors real stories from our neighbors and friends — with urgent relevance to events happening across the country.

The Silverthorne Art Strolls are walking events that will be located along the Blue River Trail between the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center and the underpass by Chipotle.

With roots in both pioneer and native cultures, Leon Joseph Littlebird understands the magic of the mountains and the southwest. His great grandfather was one of the original settlers in Blackhawk Colorado, and his great-uncle was a classical composer and performer in Silver Plume and Georgetown. This connection to the rich history of Colorado comes through in Leon’s music. A prolific songwriter and performer, his unique style tells tales of Colorado and the people of the west. Leon’s flute style combines ancient flute music with captivating rhythms that weave a tapestry of unforgettable sound, which he has taken to stages across the country.

The Kids’ Sandcastle Competition will return this summer for a morning of creativity and fun on the beach at the Frisco Bay Marina for kiddos who are 12 and under. Event participation is FREE and each child will receive a free ice cream. Summit County avalanche rescue dogs will make a special appearance and will help judge the sandcastles. The event will happen rain or shine.

This week’s Concert in the Park features Split Window features a large ensemble of talented musicians. Performing with as many as 12 musicians, the band is able to approach many genres. They are known for upbeat and danceable music with a positive message and socially conscious lyrics. The band started in 2012 as a duo by Julian Daknis and Jodi Messa and has since become a staple of the Colorado mountain music scene. This week you can create Stamped Dog Tags and Woven Collars. Keep your finished projects or gift them as a way to pass on the kindness in Summit County!

This week’s Concert in the Park features The Eric James Groove Conspiracy. They are known to throw down original funk tunes and an eclectic mix of classic rock and blues. Guitarist Eric James regularly plays with The Frisco Funk Collective in Summit County, and will be joined by Emily Durbin on vocals, bassist Tyler Easton, and Venezuelan jazz drummer Leo Lopez. This week’s concert will benefit Women of the Summit.
First Friday Concert in the Park | Rainbow Park | 6pm – 9pm
Enjoy live music from the local O'Connor Brothers Band and nationally touring act Big Sam's Funky Nation. Frosted Flamingo will be providing free Fourth of July themed crafts for kids and Cutthroat Anglers will be offering free educational fly fishing clinics. On your way to the concert in Rainbow Park, check out the new storm drain art around town. Artists will be completing their work between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
A League of Their Own | Colorado Mountain College Parking Lot | 8.30pm
This week’s Breck Film Festival Drive-in Movie presents A League of their own. Two sisters, played by Geena Davis and Lori Petty, join the first female professional baseball team. They must put their own growing rivalry aside to help with the success of the team, and to change the game forever.

Silverthorne's July 4th Celebration with the National Repertory Orchestra
Rainbow Park | 10am – 12pm
Join the Town of Silverthorne and the National Repertory Orchestra for a Fourth of July Celebration at Rainbow Park. Each year the NRO celebrates the nation’s independence with patriotic songs that will make your heart glow with pride. This is a FREE, family-friendly event. Please bring your own blankets or chairs for lawn seating.
Breakfast pastries and adult beverages will be available for purchase during the event.
Celebrate the stars and stripes of the good ol' U.S. of A with your Colorado Symphony this Independence Day! In a beautiful evening with the backdrop of Lake Dillon, this program features your favorite contemporary scores including the Armed Forces Salute, "The Stars and Stripes Forever", the 1812 Overture, "God Bless America" and a slew of your favorite hits from stage and screen.
The official parade kicks off at 10 am down the historic Main Street. It usually starts with the Wisconsin marching band and the Red, White, and Blue Color Guard. The parade is followed by a reading of the Declaration of Independence in the Blue River Plaza.

Firecracker 50
Breckenridge Main Street | 9.30am
The Firecracker 50 kicks off Independence Day in Breckenridge with a bang! This 50-mile mountain bike race starts on Main Street before sending riders off into some of the best backcountry trails Breckenridge has to offer. 4,000-foot climbs, thrilling descents, and plenty of singletracks await all participants.
Pre-registration is required. There is Limited availability and this race is expected to sell out in advance.
Celebrate fun, freedom, and the creative spirit at the Arts District with the annual chalk art contest, patriotic crafts, local artist market, pop-up live music with local bands, and interactive fun all weekend at the AirStage.
Frisco’s fabulous 4th of July celebration will still look a little different in 2021. But back again this summer, three blocks of Frisco Main Street from 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue will be transformed into a pedestrian and bike only zone with open-air dining and shopping and twinkling lights overhead providing more chances to shop and dine with a great view! The Promenade area of Main Street will also feature a variety of family-friendly activities during the 4th of July weekend:

Outdoor SUP Yoga | Rounds Park @ Golf | 10:30-11:45am
Outdoor SUP Yoga is back for those who are eager to dust off their paddleboards! Join Leslie Ross for a session of constant motion that challenges your yoga flow at a whole new level. Your body must remain fully engaged to hold each pose while balancing on a paddleboard. SUP Yoga integrates every muscle into the activity. Lawn chairs and well-behaved, leashed pets are allowed at the events. Get your dancing shoes on! This is always a good time!

Monday, June 21st – Hike through Gold Mine History!
Guided Breckenridge Hike | Iowa Hill Trailhead, Airport Road, Breckenridge, CO 80424 | 10am
This 1.5-mile guided hike goes through what used to be an active hydraulic mining site, where miners sprayed hillsides with giant nozzles to collect gold-bearing gravel. At the top of Iowa Hill, tour participants get exclusive access into a restored boardinghouse (circa 1868) where miners lived. The Mining History Association named Iowa Hill the best hydraulic mining exhibit in the world.

Enjoy live music from local band Frisco Funk Collective, catch up with your favorite local non-profits to learn about their summer programs and activities, and watch a gymnastics demonstration from the Silverthorne Storm gymnastics team. Get out on the Lake!
Stand Up Paddleboard on Lake Dillon. Bring your own board or rent one at Dillon Marina. Get out early to enjoy the best of the mountain weather. You can also rent Kayaks or Pontoon Boats which are perfect for the whole family!
Peak Yoga has started their Summer outdoor yoga program and it is the perfect way to kick off your weekend in the mountains, WITH A VIEW! From 9am – 10am on Saturday, June 5th, enjoy yoga by Lake Dillon. Make sure you sign up in advance, bring your sunglasses and sunscreen and take a much-deserved break after your busy week!

We like to hike for the view!! Here are some of our favorites for the early season:
Old Dillon Reservoir Trail is a 1.7 mile loop trail in Dillon, Colorado, and is great for the whole family! Try to get out early to avoid the typical afternoon showers we see this time of year! More information at https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/old-dillon-reservoir-trail
Lily Pad Lake Trail is a 3.3 mile out and back trail located near Silverthorne, Colorado. The lake at the top is a great place to stop for lunch and you get some amazing Dillon reservoir views along the way! There are trail heads in Frisco and Silverthorne for this hike.
